Wordspace Poetry Series presents Latasha Natasha Diggs with a special surprise
guest (hummmm.....)
Tragic and playful, direct and ambiguous, Ms Diggs never fails to navigate
the audience through her search for identity, release, and closure in a
world where crystallizing one's self is most difficult. No stranger to
the spoken word and performance art arenas, this Harlem native has been
reciting and performing her mix bag of words, soundscapes and dialect in
venues like Joe's Pub, the Knitting Factory, Cambridge Center for Adult
education, Duke University, Riker's Island and more recently in Zurich
Switzerland.
Ms Diggs has also been featured on recordings with the likes of Ryuichi
Sakamoto, Towa Tei, Domenico Ferrari and a host of other talented poets
on the acclaimed Eargasms compilation. Come join her as she brings it once
more to NYC
@The Odyssey
156 Tillary Street, Brooklyn, New York
Open Mic begins at 7:30
Admission is $5.00 with one drink minimum
Ms Diggs' second chapbook, Ni-Ban: Villa Miseria, will be on sale at the
event
